Lisa McQueen

Director, STEP Practitioner

Lisa is an experienced Property and Private Client solicitor at Slade Legal.  Lisa qualified as a solicitor in 1999.  She spent the first 11 years working in our busy Conveyancing Department gaining valuable experience before embarking on a new challenge in the Private Client Department developing skills in estate administration, wills and Powers of Attorney.  Whilst working in Private Client she gained her (STEP) qualifications to become a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner thus further widening her skill set. She is also the firm’s Compliance Officer.

Work and Clients

Lisa spends much of her time managing our large busy conveyancing department, which is spread across all three of our offices, and ensuring that compliance issues are taken care of within the firm.  She undertakes all types of residential conveyancing work and oversees the efficient running of the department with her team. Her dual qualification in both Property and Private client work enables her to provide the best all-round legal advice for her clients.

Route to Slade Legal

Lisa has been with the firm since 1997.  She trained and qualified with Slade Legal as a Solicitor in 1999.  She is also a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP qualified) and has worked her way up to become a Director in the firm.

Why Lisa became a Lawyer

Lisa loves to help and advise clients when they face dealing with legal issues.  She enjoys the client contact which her work allows and the job satisfaction of getting clients moved into their new home or helping them to organise their affairs through estate planning. She believes that a law firm should be more than a distant adviser who disappears when the job is done. She believes a client’s lawyer is an adviser for life, your family solicitor, who you can turn to for legal advice as and when you need help or guidance in aspects of the law.  Lisa has been developing her skills to offer that service to her clients.
