Michael Swan

Senior Solicitor

Michael holds a Medical Science degree from Imperial College School of Medicine. As part of his degree, he spent a number of years working on hospital wards, and attended Imperial College’s Business School. Upon graduation, he entered the pharmaceutical industry specialising in drug safety.

Michael also holds a Law degree from the University of Law and qualified as a solicitor in 2014. He was called to the Grenadian Bar two years later.

In 2016, Michael continued his career development and graduated from University College London’s Notarial Practice Course to become a qualified Notary Public.

He is also a full member of STEP in order to provide reassurance to his clients that he adheres to a high professional standard and delivers up-to-date, accurate advice.

Michael prides himself on explaining the law in jargon-free terms to ensure clients are aware of their options, together with the implications.

He specialises in assisting clients with Wills that satisfy their needs, as well as advising on the rules concerning Inheritance Tax. Michael is also able to assist with appointing a third party to manage an individual’s finances, property and healthcare via Lasting Powers of Attorney or Court of Protection Deputyships.

During the difficulty time of a loved one passing, Michael is able to offer a supporting hand in carrying out the steps required to ensure their wishes are carried out.

Michael is also able to offer invaluable advice to cohabitees buying homes together so that each of their financial contributions are protected if the relationship sadly breaks down. Likewise, he is able to offer helpful tax efficient advice to couples that own investment properties.
