Edward is a specialist private client solicitor with over 18 years’ experience. 

Work and Clients

Edward advises on all aspects of private client law including estate and Inheritance Tax planning, Will drafting, trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate, mental capacity and Court of Protection matters.  He has particular expertise in advising the families of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) on measures they need to have in place to ensure their child’s wellbeing is properly looked after throughout their lives. He also acts as a trustee, attorney and executor for clients.

Edward combines legal expertise with a holistic approach. He takes the time to get to know his clients and their families so he can absolutely understand their wishes, aims, circumstances and family dynamics. He always likes to look round corners, anticipate problems and put the correct measures in place to avoid future issues.

Route to Slade Legal

Edward worked as a consultant advising clients on political and legal risk in Ukraine, Russia, Pakistan and India. Since qualifying as a solicitor he has worked exclusively as a private client lawyer in Oxfordshire. Edward is also a District Councillor at West Oxfordshire District Council.

Why Edward became a Lawyer

Edward has worked in and advised on some of the wilder places in the world. This experience has made him value above all else the importance of proper legal structure and preparing for all foreseeable events.
